Certificate.
We decided that we would make our film a certificate 15 because of the following points:
The following is a list of what is most likely to warrant a 15 certificate, although it is a very rough guide:
- The work as a whole must not endorse discriminatory language or behaviour.
- Drug taking may be shown but the film as a whole must not promote or encourage drug misuse. Promotion of drugs which are easy to obtain are unlikely to be allowed.
- Strong threat and menace are permitted unless sadistic or sexualised.
- Dangerous behaviour (for example, hanging, suicide and self-harming) can be allowed provided the detail of such is low so that it can not create too much of an impression of the viewer. Abuse of weapons which are easily obtained will not be tolerated.
- Frequent use of strong language can be permitted, although very strong language needs to be restricted and would have to be seen as reasonable in the context. Frequent usage of very strong language would be seldom allowed.
- Nudity in a sexual content must be restricted however nudity in a non-sexual content does not.
- Sexual activity without strong detail would most likely to be allowed. Some strong sexual references may be allowed to, but very strong ones may not, unless used within reason. Sexual acts or references with the intention of causing arousal is not likely to be permitted.
- As long as the film is appropriate for 15 year olds, no certain themes are prohibited.
- Violence may be strong but should not dwell on the infliction of pain or injury. The strongest gory images are unlikely to be acceptable. The same applies to references. Any sexual violence should be discreet and be strongly justified.
Throughout the rest of our film there will be crime, sexual scenes and violence. Also the use of taboo language is used throughout and is not suitable for an audience younger than 15.

Double Cross.
This is our final 2 minute opening, Double Cross. Hope you enjoy!

Finished!
Last Friday we finally finished our two minute opening! Woo! We made a few last minute changes but nothing major! Overall I am so happy with our film and our group worked well together. One main change we made was, we took out our '2 weeks later' black screen at the end because we didn't feel it was needed as we decided that after our opening it could continue on to her finally getting home and going about her days normally until the secret/happening is revealed then its just one big flash back telling the story and the film ends the way it began! So in a way we started with the ending! We all thought this would work better! Hopefully that makes sense!

Title sequence.
So these are just snap shots from our title sequence and where are credits are. We have out our credits during our first 20 seconds of our opening and have put our film name last out of them. We decided to go with the name 'Double Cross'. This fits in with our opening because it links with betrayal and being sneaky or doing something wrong without others knowing.

Final editing!
As we've finally got everything into place and together now, it's looking good, but we are still having one tiny problem with the music! A part of the music where we have muffled when I take out my earphones keeps jumping and repeating so we still have to sort that out which we will try again tomorrow and we also are debating now whether we should keep the siren in one of the shots. The only reason we wouldn't is because it sounds too fake. So tomorrow we will watch our film again and decide what we want to do and hopefully by the end of tomorrow we should have everything sorted and have a completed 2 minute film opening!!

Finally!
Finally Alicia and I went out filming this morning and shot our redo shots we wanted. We also thought we needed to get a few linking shots to link our opening together better so we got one more foot shot of me getting on to the train and then a long shot of me walking out of the train station. Thankfully we finished shooting just before there was a downpour of snow and we got what we needed! We started editing again at school today and we have finally got the full sequence of shots together and our two minute opening nearly completed but we had some trouble with the muffling of the music at the end of our opening!

Sound effects& editing.
From the beginning when we started coming up with ideas for our 2 minute opening we were all keen on the idea of having loud sirens at one point of the film, now we're close to the end of filming and editing we could think about where we really wanted to add the sirens. To add to the paranoia effect we have tried to portray throughout our opening we decided to add the sirens to the start of me running and then sirens fade out while i am running away. Also we have a shot of me pulling out my headphones near the end of our opening, so we have edited the music to be muffled and to sound as if it is being played through the headphones but into the air whereas the rest of the opening the sound is being played through her ears.

Names.
Our group are now thinking about names for the production company and for our film. We have come up with a few names previously for our film but we weren't to keen on all of them but we are gonna get together next week and finalise the name ideas. Yesterday we also added 'Broken' to our list of names and I think we are trying to go for a simple name but with meaning behind the name and to link with the background of our film.

Making changes..
So our group did some great editing on friday but decided that the song we chose which was, Rudimental- Feel the love, didnt really go with our whole concept as well as we had hoped. It was just a bit to upbeat and didn't really have that much effect in the opening. We still had a back up plan, we went back to our second song we had first thought of, Plan B-Deepest Shame, and when we added it to our editing so far the music went so well with our opening. It adds an eary effect to our opening and also it relates more to the 'gang culture' of our film. Another thing is if you listen to the lyrics carefully it relates so much to our opening ad our film idea so overal i think our group made the right change.

Some snaps!
Here are just a few pictures from the other day while we were filming, as cold as it was (and muddy as Taneshia found out) it was a productive morning!
This is where our final shot takes place. Out whole group loves this shot and are happy with the footage we got here.
We decided to use the picture on the right to burn in our final shot. We chose this picture because it is of Alicia and I when we were younger and adds to the mystery behind our opening and hopefully makes the audience think and want to know more to what is actually behind the picture and the meaning.
It was such a cold morning.. Don't we look happy!
Taneshia took a nice trip in the mud..

It's going well!
Right so in lesson today we began to edit our new bits of footage we took on Friday. At the moment it is not all in time with the music where we want it to be because we need to get only 2 more shots to place in the middle of our opening for it to flow and for our opening to make sense. We have most the shots we need and from looking through and watching the footage we filmed the other day in forty hall, our group are quite happy with what shots we have and our opening so far. We are near the 2 minute mark now and technically our group can't actually go over 2 minutes because the song beat we want to finish on is exactly 2 minutes so we might have to cut a few shits shorter or even midway add a shot with its own background noise. We really just want to get these final shots by the end of next week so we can put it all together and see where we need to make improvements but so far so good.

Filming!
On Friday we all met up about 9 and went over to forty hall to get some of our final footage. We decided we would use forty as it is just a big open area and the empty fields and forests add to the mystery behind our opening, hopefully! It was quite muddy and slippery (as Taneshia found out) but we managed to get the running shots we wanted and we filmed our final shot in a tunnel under a bridge we came across in forty hall. This was the place I end up after the running and panicking and where I pull out the picture. I will blog pictures of our day in my next blog.

Title sequence
I thought I would just expand on our groups idea for our title sequence and explain where it's going and what we hope to do. Our idea was to have our title sequence during our time lapse which lasts about 20 seconds, this is our establishing shot so we would get all the titles including our film name at the start of our opening. Also when we watched back over our time lapse we could see that the buses stood out during it so we came up with the idea that we could slow down parts of the time lapse and have our titles appear on the buses. After we thought about it and played about with the speed of our time lapse we haven't yet found a way of doing this without the time lapse looking jumpy, so we have to have another think as a group and come up with another plan about how we want to have the credits appearing.

Walk of shame advert.
I came across this Harvey Nichols advert which in a way fits in well with the concept of our 2 minute opening. A majority of our opening is simply me walking around various backstreets and (trying) to look paranoid which relates to the advert but just in a different situation. Anyway I love the establishing shot in this advert and our group wanted to get a shot of me walking in and out of a train station which I think this advert will help us to look at the different angles we could go from and also to think about the lighting effects we want to use. The low lighting throughout most of this advert works really well with the point of the advert.

Upcoming weeks plans..
We were hoping to spend the whole day last wednesday getting our final footage but seeing as the weather ruined our plans once again (typical British weather) we decided that hopefully if the field we are planning to film in is clear of snow and dry by this Tuesday evening and there is no rain throughout Wednesday then we will go Wednesday afternoon. So far we have had no luck on Wednesdays so if not we will most likely go Friday morning. I am saying our final footage but we might find out when we edit all our footage that we need to make a few changes or re-do some shots, which will be done soon after if necessary!

This is our vlog update of our upcoming plans and our progress so far!

Snowy conditions!
The snow would work so well in our two minute opening but the continuity if our film wouldn't be right so we've decided to just wait for it to melt to film are last few shots. We have filmed too much to start all over again in the snow! Lets hope it's melted before Wednesday!

Snow!
The snow is here but we need it to hold up for next Wednesday as we have the day off we want to get our final shots and carry on editing!

Moving forward!
We started editing our time lapse yesterday, we're having a bit of trouble at the moment because we have sped the time lapse as fast as it can go and cut it but it is still too time consuming. We wanted to be able to show the light change from night to day in the time lapse to demonstrate the length of time that has passed while her world is stood still but the world around her is still moving forward.

Time to start editing!
Excited to edit now! Hopefully the time lapse will work out as it has in our heads! Still recovering from that ridiculous early morning! Really just need to get the shots we have in order now and edited well to see maybe what we need to improve or change. Hopefully it all works out! We got to Trafalgar Square at 6:30 and filmed until 8:05 to catch the sunrise and light change in front of me! The things i do for media.. sitting in Trafalgar for 2 hours in this freezing weather! That's dedication!

Making changes..
I just noticed that my last post didn't publish because of 'no service' yesterday but after we finished filming for our time lapse we got some shots of me walking around London. We also came up with a new ending which we will talk about in class next week. If it goes well and we think it will work well we will probably go next Saturday to film and get some of our final shots.
Trafalgar!
Currently sitting infront of Trafalgar Square while Hannah, Taneshia and Alicia film the time lapse behind me! I must say I have been getting very odd looks seeing as I've been sitting here since 6 and it's ridiculously cold! On the bright side I made friends with security!
